Bobby (Patrick Chavanne, 46) has been dealing, tending
and restoring bikes for the last 25 years. Specialized in "70s
and up" Japanese makes, he's sitting on a mountain of parts. After
an impressive stint as a tough motocrosser, he won 4 Belgian
national road racing championships back in the 80s. He was just
crowned 2005
ICGP champion with 4 wins aboard his good old 350
TZ. A tough-as-nails rider as well as a renowned 2-stroke
specialist, he gets the most of it with pure passion and his
infinite patience. His technical expertise and the overall
quality of his restoration projects are well known and
appreciated around Europe. |

XG (Xavier Goffin, 46) got infected at the age of 14 and has
spent way too much time with motorcycles ever since. Jap 50cc
yellers, Bultaco crossers, Guzzi S2 and Le Mans, Dukes, Kawa triples
or Norton Commandos, he's always felt the need to experience
diversity and character. A couple of years ago, after a 10-year
break dedicated to family and career duties, the virus woke up with
a vengeance as he got exposed to the unforgettable sound of a red
Benelli Sei. From then on, obsessed by building a small
collection of classics that had him drooling as a
teenager, he ended up having a look on the US market in search of
the elusive blue H2... and found it.
That's where it all went nuts… Hey, if one is to go through
the hassle and pain of shipping a bike across the Atlantic, why not
try and spread the costs by filling up a whole container with bikes
likely to please other passionate fellow bikers ? And that
was it... GoodOldBikes was born to allow you all to tap on the
experience and network we have in America and enjoy those bikes that
may be so hard to find around here...
We have searched, spotted, moved around and brought back these
bikes exactly as we did for ourselves. We have targeted the most
complete and authentic bikes, the next peach in your dear
collection or the best possible base for your next restoration
job. We now hope you'll be as happy with your new old bike as
we've been building this project.
